Barcelona star Lionel Messi has admitted that leaving the La Liga giants "has never been in my head".
The 24-year-old joined up at the Nou Camp at the tender age of 13, and has since won several individual honors and trophies with the La Liga giants.
Speaking to Radio Metro, the Argentine believes that as long as things at Barcelona continue the way they are he will never leave.
"Leaving Barcelona has never been in my head. As long as things continue to go the way they go now, I have no intention of leaving," Messi said.
He also share an interesting anecdote about how opponents seemed overawed by his presence on the pitch, even in the rarified quality of the UEFA Champions League.
"When we play in the Champions League, it sometimes happens that opponents come up to me when I prepare to take a free kick and ask me whether I want to exchange jerseys after the game."
Messi is currently with Argentina, ahead of their upcoming 2014 World Cup qualification campaign, with his nation taking on Chile on Friday, and traveling to Caracas to face Venezuela the Tuesday after.
