UNLUCKY 13 ...McClaren has quit after 13 games
STEVE McCLAREN has resigned as Nottingham Forest manager.
The former England chief has only been in charge at the City Ground for 13 games.
But a disastrous run of results - culminating with today's 3-1 home defeat to Birmingham - forced him out.
McClaren - dubbed the Wally with the Brolly after he failed to get England to Euro 2008 - did not appear for the post-match Press conference as he held crisis talks with chairman Nigel Doughty.
And his future was quickly decided with Forest languishing in the bottom four of the Championship with just eight points from 10 games.
It was later revealed that Doughty will be stepping down as chairman at the end of the season. He has also been under fire from the Forest fans for sacking previous boss Billy Davies.
