Hamilton's recent signing Paul Currie is hoping to make his first start for the club against Falkirk.

Currie scored a hat-trick for the reserves in midweek and manager Billy Reid could be tempted to hand the midfielder his full debut after promising to make changes.

Hamilton will be without winger Willie McLaren again due to continued illness, while midfielder Alex Neil is sidelined through injury.

Defender Mark McLaughlin is struggling with a hamstring problem and is doubtful.

Reid said: "We're miles better than we're performing at the moment.

"There are three or four players not doing enough and we'll keep on changing things around until we get it right.

"Some players will need to work harder than they are, especially against a good Falkirk side."

Falkirk will be without suspended striker Ally Graham.

The young forward was sent off in a midweek Stirlingshire Cup tie, while defender Steven Kingsley has not shaken off his knee injury.

Manager Steven Pressley, who otherwise has a fully-fit squad, is hoping his side can bounce back after their nine-game unbeaten run was ended last week by Morton.

Pressley said: "The result last week was unfortunate, but the performance was good and I want the players to remember that.

"We'll need to reach the same high standards we have set for most of the season in this game as Hamilton have aspirations to go straight back up to the Premier League."
