SILVA SERVICE ... David is on fire against Everton

DAVID SILVA insists Manchester City can send the Bayern Wall crashing down in Munich tomorrow night.

Roberto Mancini's men face a daunting task against the German outfit, who have won their last NINE matches without conceding a goal.

The shutout by the Bundesliga giants, who include former City defenders Jerome Boateng and Daniel van Buyten in their squad, now stands at 838 minutes.

At the other end, they have rattled in 26 goals so it promises to be a tough night for the Premier League club.

But goals have not been hard to come by for City this season with 19 scored in their opening six league matches.

So Spanish winger Silva says there will be no thoughts of heading to the Allianz Arena and settling for a stalemate.

The Spanish playmaker said: "I think we will go and attack them.

"We can stick to our footballing principles.

"We don't have to change our style against other teams — home or away. We believe in what we are doing and have confidence in each other so we will keep doing the same things.

"The truth is Napoli played very well and they are a strong team, but we always try and do our best and keep our style of football.

"Against Bayern Munich we will try the same — to keep the ball, play with the same style and get a positive result."

City were made one of the favourites to win the competition by bookmakers — even though this is their debut season.

But after only managing a draw in their home game with Napoli, Silva says they are not looking too far ahead.

He said: "First we have to focus on Tuesday, go little by little and try to get a good result and then improve step-by-step and see how far we can go."

Team-mate James Milner, who scored his first league goal for City on Saturday in the 2-0 win over Everton, maintains they head for Germany full of confidence.

He knows a victory against Jupp Heynckes' team would be a huge stride towards getting through the group stages.

The England midfielder said: "Four points is a lot different to getting another draw or a defeat.

"It can shape it. But there are a lot of games in the group.

"It doesn't seem many but there are still 15 points to play for.

"Ten gets you qualified more often than not.

"We will just take it a game at a time. They are all tough games but we are more than ready for it."

While Bayern are Champions League regulars, Milner insists City are no rookies at this level and are packed with experience.

He added: "Luckily we have a really good squad of players who have played European or international football.

"That obviously helps that transition when you play against different styles.

"The majority of players have played in the Champions League before, the only new experience is doing it together."

"Bayern Munich away is obviously a big game but you have to concentrate on the football side of it. We just go into it concentrating on what we can do.

"The way we play, we change formations a lot.

"Even when we play in a certain way players interchange. There is fluidity and movement and we can cause them problems."

Milner agrees there is no reason for City to fear the Germans — despite their outstanding start to the season.

He added: "It is going to be a tough game, we know that.

"They had a great start to the competition.

"They had a tough away trip to Villarreal but came through with flying colours. They seem to be playing with confidence.

"But we can beat anyone on our day. We just need to have the confidence to do what we have been doing."

Boss Roberto Mancini expects it to be a very different game to the tough battle they had to break down Everton on Saturday.

The Italian said: "Yes, it will probably be different.

"It wasn't easy to beat Everton.

"We know we have to recover very well and get ready for it."

BAYERN warmed up for City's visit with a comfortable 3-0 win at home to Bayer Leverkusen.

Bayern's opening goal came on five minutes from Thomas Mueller. Belgian defender Daniel van Buyten added a second on 19 minutes.

Former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben then bagged a third late on.
