Tottenham on alert as Sevilla hint at Negredo exit

Tottenham target Alvaro Negredo could leave Sevilla in January, sparking a string of European clubs into action.
Negredo was discussed as a transfer target at White Hart Lane this summer but the club failed to settle on a worthwhile financial package to put to Sevilla and the striker himself.
But Harry Redknapp's interest in the Spain international has not waned, although AC Milan are also monitoring his progress following his impressive start to the season.
The 26-year-old has scored three goals in his first four La Liga matches and scouts across Europe have watched him in Spain this season.
Tottenham manager Redknapp remains committed to signing a striker as doubts remain over the future of Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Sevilla, meanwhile, are keen to extend Negredo's contract but it is unsure whether he is willing to commit to the club beyond his current deal, which expires in 2013.
Alejandro Camano, who represents Negredo, said: "He has a contract until 2013. Sevilla wants to renew it but that does not mean his future is indeed in Seville."
