Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has denied holding talks with the Football Association over potentially becoming the next England boss.

The 64-year-old has regularly been linked with taking over the reins of the Three Lions when current boss Fabio Capello steps down after next summer’s European Championships.

Newspaper reports over the weekend even suggested the FA was preparing to dismiss Capello before the tournament, following a number of disappointing displays at Wembley, and replace him with the experienced Spurs boss.

However, Redknapp has refuted the claims, insisting he has yet to be contacted by anyone from the FA.

"Until I get offered the job I wouldn't have a decision to make, but at the moment I haven't spoken to anybody about being England manager,” he told the London Evening Standard.

"I want to see England do well, I want Capello to get them to the Euros and I want them to win it. And if they win it under Capello, I definitely won't get it."

The former West Ham and Portsmouth boss also insisted he is focusing solely on his job at White Hart Lane.

He added: "I love doing what I'm doing. I enjoy my job at Tottenham. I'm lucky to be managing a top club, a great club, and I love it."
