Morton welcome back new dad Stuart McCaffrey to their defence for the visit of Ayr United after he missed last weekend's Ramsdens Cup defeat at Hamilton Accies when his wife went into labour.

Recent signing Kevin McCann is the Cappielow side's only doubt with manager Allan Moore set to use fit-again winger Sean Fitzharris for the first time this season.

Moore has challenged his men to show a new mentality, saying: "Last season we dropped more points to part-time sides than we did to the teams going for the title, and I do not want a repeat of that.

"We played well last week at Hamilton and if we put in the same type of performance in this game then I am sure we will do okay."

Ayr United are hoping to include former Dundee United, Aberdeen and Inverness Caledonian Thistle player Stuart Duff.

The utility player has been training with the club recently with a view to earning a permanent deal.

Manager Brian Reid advised that a couple of players are carrying niggles, however he is planning changes to his starting line-up anyway after last Sunday's defeat to Annan in the Ramsdens Cup.

Reid explained "Some players got the opportunity to show what they could do against Annan but they never took it and I will make moves as a result.

"Morton have been doing really well so far this season but we have the chance to extend our unbeaten run in the league to four games and I want us to take it."
