Uefa rejects Arsenal appeal over Arsène Wenger Champions League ban
Arsène Wenger will have to serve a two-match ban in the Champions League after Uefa rejected Arsenal's appeal.

Uefa has rejected Arsenal's appeal against the two-match suspension imposed on their manager, Arsène Wenger. Arsenal have also been fined €10,000 for the "improper conduct" of their officials.

Uefa said that Wenger will be forced to miss the club's first two Champions League group games, against Borussia Dortmund and Olympiakos this month.

Wenger breached a previous one-match ban when he relayed messages to the Arsenal dugout from the stands during the first leg of the club's Champions League play-off against Udinese in London.

Arsenal appealed against the new ban, and Uefa agreed to defer its decision until after the second leg of the play-off.
