France's manager Laurent Blanc: Samir Nasri is in talks to leave Arsenal

France coach Laurent Blanc believes Samir Nasri is still in talks with Arsenal to leave the club, with the season set to start in four days.
"I just know that he is in talks with his club. Not to extend his contract because he said he would not, but to change clubs," Blanc said in a press conference ahead of France's friendly clash with Chile.
Nasri has been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City this summer as speculation surrounding his future mounted following a breakdown in discussions to sign a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.
The midfielder is so far yet to enter talks with another club as Arsene Wenger aims to hold onto the France international this season.
"Unless you have proof of the contrary, Nasri is an Arsenal player," Blance explained. "He did not play their last game in Portugal, I think… because he felt pain [injury].
Blanc is hoping the matter is resolved so the player can concentrate on the campaign ahead. France is trying to rebound from its disappointing showing in the 2010 World Cup.
"I personally can't wait for this to happen, because psychologically, it is never easy to play in a team and to not be sure whether you will start the season or leave,"said Blanc. "I admit it, it can be disturbing really."
He added,"But like I said, he will not end up without a club. And when you look at the candidates [to recruit him], I wouldn't complain if I were in his position. But if all this could end quite rapidly, it would be better for us."
Earlier on Tuesday, Gunners striker Marouane Chamakh also stated he expects Nasri, and captain Cesc Fabregas, to leave the club.
