Alexis Sanchez: I Am Not The Cristiano Ronaldo Of Barcelona

Barcelona's new signing Alexis Sanchez has moved to avoid any comparisons with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo following his transfer from Italian club Udinese.
Sanchez is the only new addition to Pep Guardiola's squad this summer despite the onrunning pursuit of Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas, and the Chilean forward wants to make his own name at the Camp Nou.
"Am I going to be the Ronaldo of Barcelona? No, I just want to be Alexis Sanchez of Barcelona," he was quoted as saying by AS. "I am proud to play in the best club in the world.
"Now I have to show my worth. Barcelona are a great team and want to win everything. I am very happy and now I have to prove the ability I have shown so far."
The 22-year-old, who cost the European champions €26 million, is also relishing the prospect of linking up with Argentina's Lionel Messi, whom he described as the leading player on the planet.
"First I have to integrate myself within the group and adapt. I am proud to play with Messi, who is the best player in the world," Sanchez enthused. "I never thought that a Chilean would play for Barcelona."
