Brazil gains confidence for Copa America quarter

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (AP)—Coach Mano Menezes says Brazil is “looser” and will face Paraguay with “more confidence” in their Copa America quarterfinal on Sunday.

Brazil put behind a difficult start to the tournament by producing a must-win and convincing 4-2 win over Ecuador on Wednesday to advance from the group stage with rivals Argentina and Uruguay.

He says, “It’s important to leave the match knowing that we are better, more consistent.”
