The Italian, 65, has told pals he has had enough of coaching and has lined up a lucrative media deal.
Capello was linked with the Inter Milan job and would be on Roma’s wish list as a free agent, with his assistant Franco Baldini poised for a senior role at the Serie A outfit.
But Capello plans to hang up his tracksuit for good at the end of his Three Lions contract and has told pals he doesn’t want a club post.
Instead, Capello’s camp have thrashed out a deal with a leading Italian TV station, although they are keeping the identity of the post and the size of the terms under wraps.
