Chelsea are locked in a battle with Atletico Madrid to sign Genk's highly-rated keeper Thibaut Courtois.
Courtois, just 19, is regarded as one of the best young keepers in Europe and talkSPORT recently revealed how Chelsea were keen on him.
The Belgian star has been earning rave reviews in the Belgian League and has been attracting interest from a number of top European clubs.
The west London club were hoping to finalise a deal before the start of pre-season training, but they now face a major battle to bring him to England.
Reports in Spain suggest that Atletico Madrid are the strong favourites to sign him as they look to find a replacement for David de Gea, who will join Manchester United during the summer.
