Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has admitted his disappointment over Sergio Aguero's decision to leave the club, possibly joining city rivals Real Madrid.

Aguero, 23, has refused to reveal further details over his future, but reports have linked him with a move across the capital, even though he still has three years left on his contract at the Vicente Calderon.

Any club willing to negotiate would have to meet the €45 million buyout clause set by Atleti, but Cerezo has declared his position.

"More than being disappointed, I am surprised and if surprise brings disappointment then it's because I am," Cerezo is quoted as saying by Marca.com.

However, the Atletico chief revealed there have been no further developments.

"The truth is that we know nothing; there is no news from the player or his representatives," he added.

"He is still our player and anything else should be asked to him because he's the one who knows what he wants to do.

"We have always said we do not want to sell Kun."

On Friday, Aguero said he had been asked by international teammate Lionel Messi where he will end up playing next season, but revealed he could not give his friend a clear answer.
