West Brom will be boosted by the return of three key players for the Barclays Premier League home clash with Everton.

Captain Chris Brunt and defender Steven Reid are available after missing the last two games with hamstring and calf injuries respectively.

Midfielder Paul Scharner is also back in contention, after serving a one-match suspension for his sending-off against Aston Villa.

Roy Hodgson is not expecting to have a massive transfer budget this summer despite keeping West Brom in the top flight.

Hodgson held talks with club owner-chairman Jeremy Peace earlier this week about possible transfer targets and how much money he will have to spend.

He said: "It was a discussion with the chairmanwe are going to have regularly regarding what our plans are, what our targets are, what could possibly change between this season and next season.

"Everyone thinks that meetings with chairman are going to be about the manager coming out with a big sack over his shoulder like Santa Claus.

"I must say I never went in there with a sack expecting it to be filled. I expect the budget for the club, which is already high, to be retained or even strengthened slightly.

"There is not going to be vast differences, because that is not available. But I am hoping we can continue along the same lines as we have been doing. If there are any players out there which we think will help us become better, we would hope we have a chance to go and get them."

Everton midfielder Tim Cahill is pushing for a recall to the first XI at the Hawthorns.

Cahill stepped off the bench last weekend after recovering from a foot problem and helped secure victory against Manchester City.

Everton are looking to improve their record of only one defeat in 10 games but will again be without Marouane Fellaini and Louis Saha (both ankle) through injury.
