Stenhousemuir vs Brechin City preview - Hot shot McAllister back for Brechin

Scott Gibb is available for Stenhousemuir`s home game against promotion-chasing Brechin.

The defender returns from suspension for what is a vital game for both sides at Ochilview.

The Warriors gave themselves a real chance of avoiding the relegation play-offs by winning at Alloa last Saturday and manager David Irons has told his men not to stop now.

"We have to take something from this game to take things onto Peterhead next weekend. We cannot save ourselves this week but we can go a long way towards it if we win," said Irons.

"Brechin need to get a win as well so it will not be easy but we are going into the game in good spirit and determined to look after ourselves.

"It is a case of going out and getting the three points and seeing whether it is a two or three horse race to avoid the play-offs when we are finished."

Star striker Rory McAllister is back for Brechin.

McAllister comes back into the reckoning after serving a suspension, as is also the case with defender Ewan Moyes.

However, Paul Mclean is banned and Charlie King remains out injured.

Centre-back Gerry McLauchlan returned to training on Thursday after injury and he may also return provided there has been no adverse reaction.

Boss Jim Weir said: "Stenhousemuir have a good manager and have good players and will go into this game with confidence, but despite our poor run of results we still have our destiny under our control.

"We did not have a midweek game this week for the first time in a long time and hopefully the players` engines are running with a bit more fuel now."
