Brescia vs AC Milan preview - Milan closing in on title

AC Milan will take a big step closer to their first Scudetto in seven years if they win at relegation-threatened Brescia.

The Serie A leaders travel to the Mario Rigamonti stadium with a six-point cushion over Napoli and just five rounds remaining.

Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri said: "This game is the game of the season because it's the most important and can decide the league title."

The Rossoneri have won their last three league games and go into the encounter on the back of a midweek 2-2 draw against Palermo in their Coppa Italia first-leg semi-final.

"We haven't had much time to prepare this game," Allegri said. "But my team knows what it has to do.

"We will have to be careful not to underestimate this match. Despite Brescia having endured two negative results, they are physically well.

"We have to play a great game because I expect a rival that will make life difficult for us.

"Brescia are fighting to avoid the drop and this is a delicate game for us."

Allegri's team will be without their top scorers Alexandre Pato (injured) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (suspended). Antonio Cassano will lead the attack alongside Robinho.

Brescia lost their last game 3-0 at Genoa to remain 19th in the standings, two places and four points from safety.

The Rondinelle know they will have to be at their very best if they are to stun Milan, who have lost just twice in the league at the San Siro this season.

"We know Milan are a great team," Brescia coach Giuseppe Iachini said. "They are favourites to win the Scudetto but we must take one match at a time and try to raise our game.

"We are not giving up on our aim to avoid the drop and we will try to make life difficult for Milan."

The hosts will be without defender Davide Zoboli, who serves a one-match ban.
