The full-back is open to the suggestion of the Portuguese superstar moving to the San Siro and admits he never thought he would train alongside David Beckham
AC Milan full-back Ignazio Abate has welcomed the idea of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo moving to the San Siro and believes that he would be a success in Italy.
This week, Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi admitted that he is a fan of the Portugal international and that it is his wish to see him play for the club.
Adding to that, Abate has voiced his support to the idea of the 26-year-old playing for the former Italian and European champions and told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I believe he would do very well. I hope he comes even if I have already played with many phenomenal players here.
"If you had said to me that I would train with David Beckham, I wouldn't have believed you."
Abate has been one of the most improved players for Milan since the summer and has earned plaudits for his displays down the right flank.
Reflecting on his performances this season, the 24-year-old enthused: "I am not thinking a lot about the national team right now. I am thinking about the Scudetto. I am seven games away from a dream."
