Lecce vs Udinese preview - Di Michele ready to give Udinese a dose

Lecce striker David Di Michele believes the best way to beat Udinese is to give them a taste of their own medicine and attack from start to finish.

Udinese, winners of six of their last seven games and unbeaten in their last 13 outings, are fourth in the Serie A standings and trail leaders AC Milan by six points and possess one of the best strike forces in the league.

"It will certainly be a difficult match against Udinese," said the 35-year-old Di Michele, who spent two seasons with the Friuli outfit from 2005 until 2007.

"We'll play against a strong team which is coming here to win in order to consolidate their fourth place in the table which will see them qualify for the Champions League next season.

"They are the surprise package in Serie A and will make life difficult for us.

"But nothing is impossible. To do well, we'll need to have something more compared to them and try to attack and take advantage of all the situations because if we only defend, we risk conceding goals."

Lecce are running out of time to save their season.

They have lost five of their last seven league games, including their 1-0 defeat at Inter Milan in the last round, and have slipped to 18th in the table.

They are one point adrift of Cesena, who hold the last position of safety.

Lecce will be without suspended midfielder Guillermo Giacomazzi.

Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin will be forced to make at least one change to the team that beat Catania 2-0 in the club's previous game since Giampiero Pizzi must serve a one-match ban.
