Raith Rovers are without the injured trio of Laurie Ellis, Iain Williamson and Stephen Simmons for the clash with Dundee.

Having lost their place at the top of the table in midweek, Rovers are desperate for a return to the summit.

Dunfermline replaced them in top spot but boss John McGlynn remains upbeat. He said: "There is no better time than now to defeat Dundee. They are the only side in the league we have not beaten this season and it would be good to put that right.

"We were very happy with the performance against Falkirk last weekend but disappointed at losing 2-1. If the boys create the openings against Dundee in the manner they did last week, I am sure we will do okay."M

Dundee will be without three players that featured in their last starting 11 when they take their 23-game unbeaten run to Raith Rovers.

Craig Forsyth and Nicky Riley will miss out through suspension and trialist Jake Hyde has moved on to Dunfermline.

Striker Sean Higgins continues to be out with injury to leave manager Barry Smith bringing in youth team players to cover any gaps.

Smith said: "The young lads have been in and around the first team for a wee while now so it should not be too big a step for them. It will be a tough game as they are second top of the table and desperate to get back into top place. We won there on our last trip and I would easily accept that performance and result again."
