Livingston vs Brechin City preview - Cowan and Jacobs back for Livi
Posted Saturday, April 02, 2011 by PA
Leaders Livingston welcome back defender David Cowan and midfielder Keaghan Jacobs for the visit of second-placed Brechin City.
However, defender Cameron MacDonald and winger Bobby Barr continue to occupy the sidelines.
The Lions have the opportunity to move a massive 21 points ahead at the top of the table but boss Gary Bollan is playing down the importance of the clash.
"It is just another Saturday game with three points available.
"It will quite rightly have billing as the biggest game in the Second Division but we will treat it in the same manner as we have treated all our games this season.
"Brechin beat us the last time we played them and that is a warning to everyone here that there is a still a lot of work to be done."
Brechin City are again without Paul McLean and Charlie King.
To make matters worse for City, midfielder Jamie Redman is struggling with a back injury.
Glebe Park boss Jim Weir praised his opponent's by saying, "What Livingston have done so far has been a great effort.
"To win 13 out of 14 games is a great run and no-one else in this league has come anywhere close to that level of consistency."
"We were the last side to beat them and that shows that we can do it, however my first aim in this game is to play a lot better than we did the last time we were at their place.
"We were really poor that night and were deservedly beaten."
