Alloa Athletic 0 : 0 Peterhead - Stalemate in bottom of the table clash
Posted Saturday, March 26, 2011 by PA
Alloa remain seven points clear of bottom club Peterhead as the sides drew 0-0 at Recreation Park.
Despite dominating the majority of the game, the home side failed to take all three points as Andrew Scott and Stuart Noble wasted good opportunites by blasting their shots over the bar.
Peterhead could have taken the lead with six minutes to go but Callum MacDonald's thunderous drive was well blocked by Scott Walker. Then with two minutes remaining, Kevin Motion's free-kick was blocked by Scott Ross to keep the score all square.
The Blue Toon ended the game with ten men as David Donald picked up two bookings in as many minutes as the away side began to lose their discipline towards the end of the game.
