Dunfermline 0 : 0 Partick Thistle - Pars rue missed chance

Dunfermline missed an opportunity to put pressure on leaders Raith after they were held to a goalless draw by Partick.

Partick dominated the first half with Kris Doolan spurning two great opportunities to give them the lead.

The striker agonisingly headed against the post in the 14th minute before seeing a volley punched clear by Pars keeper Chris Smith.

Meanwhile, Martin Hardie and Steven McDougall missed with long-range efforts for the home side.

The Pars were the better team in the second half, but a series of long-range efforts went wide of the mark.

Doolan tested Smith again with less than 20 minutes to go, but the keeper held on to the striker's effort from distance.
