Raith Rovers 1 : 1 Ross County - Rovers stay top despite being held
Posted Tuesday, March 22, 2011 by PA
Raith maintained their two-point gap at the top of the Scottish First Division after securing a 1-1 draw at home to Ross County.
In an uninspiring first half, County came close to taking the lead after 13 minutes when Steven Milne crashed a 12-yard header against the bar from Richard Brittain's free-kick.
The dominant away side did eventually make one of their chances count four minutes after half-time, Jonathan Flynn slotting home from inside the box from Brittain's corner.
Their lead lasted only six minutes, though, as Raith - with their first real opportunity - equalised, Gregory Tade meeting Craig Wilson's cross to convert from inside the area.
Rovers almost won it when Allan Walker's 64th-minute effort hit the post.
