CHERYL COLE plans to release her debut album in America this summer - after getting WILL.I.AM's help to make it more Yank-friendly.
The BLACK EYED PEAS singer will tinker with Messy Little Raindrops, which got to No1 here.
A source said: "The record company are really keen to spice up a few of the songs and get some remixes on the album. Will is going to work his magic by giving the tracks more of an R&B feel as he knows that's what will sell."
According to pals of the star, Chezza is also in talks about including a collaboration with the Peas on her CD. The American market is notoriously difficult to crack, so Chezza has a tough time ahead.
Universal Records are lining up huge cross-country promotions, with a big album-signing tour.
