Brechin carried on their fine home form as they swept aside struggling Stenhousemuir 3-1.
City, unbeaten at Glebe Park since September, went behind early on when Scott Dalziel finished from inside the six-yard box to give the visitors the lead on eight minutes.
The hosts levelled on 42 minutes when top striker Rory McAllister finished in the six-yard box from Neil Janczyk's deadly cross to score his 14th league goal of the season.
Ten minutes into the second half, Brechin completed their comeback. Midfielder James Redman made it 2-1 after another assist from the troublesome Janczyk.
After a fine performance and two assists, Janczyk sealed the result with a goal eight minutes from time, placing his shot into the top left corner 18-yards out to keep Brechin second in Division Two.
