Brechin City have added on-loan Aberdeen youngster Mitchel Megginson to their squad ahead of the home clash with Stenhousemuir.

He is set to be involved but long-term injury absentee Charlie King remains absent, midfield grafter Craig Malloy is suspended and defender David White is also expected to miss out through illness.

Manager Jim Weir is looking for an improved defensive display from his side, saying: "We lost three bad goals against Dumbarton in midweek and need to sort that out against Stenhousemuir.

"Our defensive displays have been slipped recently and I am expecting an improvement in this game."

Weir added: "I had Mitchel at Arbroath last season on a similar basis and he is a really lively, hard working striker that gives us another good option up front."

Stenhousemuir are without injured defender Scott Gibb but Scott Fusco is available again.

Winger Grant Anderson, who missed out in midweek because of a finger injury, also comes back into contention.

Two wins in two games has lifted the Warriors off the foot of the table and boosted morale.

Manager David Irons said: "Performances have been good for a wee while now but you cannot beat picking up points to increased confidence.

"We will travel to Brechin City looking to make it three wins out of three although we know it will be a tough test as they have a really good team and a management duo in Jim Weir and Kevin McGowne that I really respect."
