Forfar are without the suspended Michael Bolochoweckyj and injured duo Stephen Tulloch and Dale Hilson for the visit of in-form Dumbarton to Station Park.

The Loons' promotion hopes took a dent in midweek when they lost to Airdrie, however manager Dick Campbell was not overly critical of his players.

Campbell said: "It is a game we should have had won by half-time but we did not take our chances and got punished.

"We have moved on and are ready to face a Dumbarton side who have a fair bit of impetus at the moment.

"They have won five out of their last six games and it will be a tough test, but one I welcome as it is the perfect game for us to bounce back in."

Dumbarton are hoping teenage starlet Nicky Devlin is fit enough to play two games in 24 hours.

The full-back captained Scotland schoolboys in a Centenary Shield international against Northern Ireland on Friday afternoon and Sons boss Alan Adamson will assess his availability.

Midfielder Craig McLeish is ruled out with a shoulder injury while Alan Cook also remains sidelined with an ankle problem.

Adamson said: "We will wait and see if there has been any reaction with Nicky before confirming his place in the starting XI.

"We are on a great run just now and playing away from home just as well as we have been at home, but Forfar will make it really tough for us especially after losing to Airdrie in midweek."
