Cristiano Ronaldo made trip to NY to propose to girlfriend Irina Shayk

The Real Madrid striker and Portuguese International player Ronaldo made the 12,000 km journey to spend two days in the Big Apple where his girlfriend was working.
International footballer and Real Madrid striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, travelled to New York last week to spent Valentine's Day with his girlfriend, the model Irina Shayk.
The Portuguese footballer was given two days off by Real Madrid in order to make the journey. He travelled 12,000 kilometres (there and back) in order to spend the day with his girlfriend and, according to various press reports, Ronaldo took the opportunity to ask Irina for her hand in marriage.
Of the two days that Real Madrid allowed 'CR7' to take off from training, more than 12 hours were spent flying to and from New York.
