Dumbarton will be missing the suspended Andy Geggan and injured pair Craig McLeish and Alan Cook for the visit of Airdrie.

The midfield trio all miss out as the Sons go in search of a win which would pull them to within one point of the visitors.

Manager Alan Adamson guided his side off the bottom of the Second Division table last week for the first time in four months and he is looking for them to continue their rise.

"Having moved away from the foot of the table I am in no hurry to go back there," he said. "Airdrie will be out for revenge for our recent win at their place and we will need to shuffle the pack a wee bit as losing the driving force of Andy from midfield is a blow."

Airdrie travel to the Strathclyde Homes Stadium without four players.

Rhys Devlin misses out through suspension while defender Eddie Forrest, midfielder Jamie Stevenson and striker Scott Gemmill all sit out due to injury.

Diamonds boss Jimmy Boyle said: "That is three of our most experienced players who continue to be missing.

"We will just have to get on with things and, to be fair to the players who came in, they handled it well last week against Peterhead when we won 1-0."

He continued: "We played poorly against Dumbarton earlier this month and they played well so we will be going out to put that right in this game.

"A win for us takes us further away from the bottom of the table and that has to be our aim."
