Adrian Colunga scored twice as Getafe romped to a 4-1 victory at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez to move up to eighth in the Primera Division.

The striker found the net in the 19th and 26th minutes and Miku made it 3-0 by half-time as the hosts dominated.

Pedro Rios added a fourth before Riki netted a consolation penalty for Depor.

Home goalkeeper Oscar Ustari made early saves from Nouioui Lassad and Adrian Lopez before Colunga forced a sharp stop from Daniel Aranzubia at the other end in a lively first 10 minutes.

Getafe lost Miguel Torres to injury after 17 minutes, Victor Sanchez taking his place, and the newcomer played his part as they quickly took the lead, threading the ball through for Colunga to finish low past Aranzubia.

And just seven minutes later he slotted home from six yards to double his and Getafe's tally.

Michel was twice denied by Ustari but Depor's push was shortlived and Jamie Gavilan set up Miku for a close-range finish a minute before the break.

Riki went close to cutting the three-goal margin when he lashed a 20-yard effort against the post early in the second half.

But Getafe swept straight up the other end and Gavilan was again the provider, crossing from the left to allow Pedro Rios to sweep the ball home from the edge of the box.

Getafe's Javi Casquero was off target with an ambitious long-range effort but forced Aranzubia to parry away his 25-yard strike shortly afterwards, Pedro Rios steering the rebound wide.

Depor got one back in the 67th minute when Victor Sanchez brought down Xisco and Riki slotted the penalty low past Ustari.

Miku shot wide from close range and Aranzubia repelled Pedro Rios' effort as Getafe were forced to settle for four.

Depor had two late attempts to cut the deficit, Aythami Oliva testing Ustari and Xisco firing over, but a 4-1 defeat leaves them hovering precariously above the relegation zone.
