Milan's Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that Mario Balotelli is not needed in the Italian side' squad.
The Sweden international has spoken out following Balotelli's inability to settle at Eastlands and after he revealed he would like to join the Rossoneri within two years.
However, the 29-year-old has spoken of how the £24million striker would not even fit in the squad's formation and, speaking to Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport, he said: "There's no room here for Balotelli. At AC Milan we've got Ibrahimovic, Cassano, Robinho, Pato and Inzaghi, who is injured.
"How many forwards do you need, 6? Do we play with a 4-6 formation? We don't need any more forwards.
"Though that's something for Mr Galliani and the coach to decide."
Balotelli himself has flown out to the States in a bid to help his ongoing knee problem. He initially missed nine weeks of City's season, but on his return scored an impressive five goals in nine appearances.
Meanwhile, boss Roberto Mancini has refuted reports he is interested in teenage Belgian sensation Romelu Lukaku.
