Dumbarton moved off the foot of the table with a stunning 4-1 win over Alloa.
Martin McNiff opened the scoring for the home side after 14 minutes when his fierce strike from 20 yards flew past Alloa keeper Steven Robertson and into the roof of the net.
Patrick Walker then doubled the advantage in the 41st minute when he converted Nicky Devlin`s right-wing cross and Derek Carcary made it 3-0 in the 53rd minute, poking home from close range.
William Gibson gave Alloa hope in the 55th minute when he converted Kevin McDonald`s corner but Andrew Geggan secured a valuable win for the home side when he fired a long-range effort into the top corner in the 80th minute.
