Dirk Kuyt could return to the starting XI having been a substitute against Rovers, which would mean Joe Cole or Maxi Rodriguez missing out.
Liverpool vice-captain Jamie Carragher will continue to watch on from the sidelines as he continues to recover from a dislocated shoulder, otherwise Hodgson has a near full-strength squad to choose from.
