Dag & Red v Southampton preview

Team news for Monday afternoon's League One tie between Dagenham and Southampton at the L.B Barking & Dagenham Stadium.

Dagenham boss John Still has Solomon Taiwo available for their home match against Southampton.

The on-loan Cardiff midfielder has extended his loan deal with the Daggers until the end of the season and so will keep his place in the centre of the park.

Rookie midfielder Billy Bingham was the surprise choice to replace on-loan West Brom striker Kayleden Brown in the 2-1 defeat to Brentford on Saturday, making his full debut for the club, and he is likely to keep his place as Brown continues to struggle with an ankle problem.

Scott Doe was recalled in defence against the Bees as Mark Arber was ruled out with flu and, with Arber remaining a doubt, Doe should again take up his defensive position.

Striker Gavin Tomlin remains likely to miss the game as he recovers from a niggling ankle problem.

Meanwhile, Southampton captain Dean Hammond should make his return.

The influential Saints skipper missed Saturday's 4-0 victory over Exeter with flu but should be okay for Monday.

Danny Butterfield was also judged not ready for inclusion against the Grecians following a dead leg but may recover in time to play a part in east London.

On-loan forward Guly Do Prado marked his 29th birthday with a brace in the 4-0 triumph and the Brazilian should keep his place in the side.

Former Derby winger Lee Holmes will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on an ankle injury in December.

Midfielder Paul Wotton has joined Yeovil on loan for one month and will not be available. Left-back Joseph Mills, winger Jason Puncheon and midfielder Anthony Pulis continue their loan spells away from the club.
