Shakira to Debut in China

Pop star Shakira will make her debut in China on New Year's Eve, Youth Daily reports.

Jiangsu satellite TV, which located in Nanjing, East China's Jiangsu Province announced officially on its miniblog that the singer-dancer would join in the New Year's Eve concert on Dec. 31.
Shakira will sing three songs in the New Year's Eve Concert including "Waka Waka" ("This Time for Africa"), the official song for the 2010 FIFA world cup, said the general director of the concert. In addition, the hot Latin dancer will teach the audience to dance "Waka Waka" at the concert.
Shakira, one of the most successful Latin singers and frequent winner of Grammy Awards, has just finished The Sun Comes Out World Tour in Europe. She is well-known in China as the theme song singer of the 2006 and 2010 FIFA world cups.
Jiangsu satellite TV has also invited Susan Boyle and Wonder Girls to perform at the New Year's Eve Concert.
