Report: Bayern Munich Defender Martin Demichelis Set For Loan Switch To Malaga

Bayern Munich defender Martin Demichelis is on the verge of a loan move to ambitious La Liga side Malaga, reports from Spain suggest.
AS remarks that the Argentine stopper will move to La Rosaleda on a six-month deal until the end of the season, with the option for the Andalucian side to make a permanent purchase for a fee of €3 million.
The negotiation have quickly progressed, with the player’s agent meeting the club’s representatives in Seville, where Malaga are participating in a Copa del Rey clash this evening.
The 30-year-old has fell out of favour with Bayern boss Louis van Gaal this season, and has only featured in 10 matches in all competitions.
As a result Demichelis is thought to be seeking an exit from the club for the remainder of the campaign, and Malaga, bankrolled by Qatari businessman Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani, are in a position to meet his wage demands.
