The Wasps manager is hoping that Recreation Park is playable after what happened to Airdrie when they went into cold storage with Maitland explaining: "I have not read anything into Airdrie losing heavily to Peterhead in midweek as that can happen when a team that has had a couple of games meets a team that has been idle.
"Airdrie actually now have an advantage over us as they played in midweek but we have trained twice this week for the first time in a month so hopefully we are quite well prepared and we are in good shape bodies wise."
Airdrie United have captain Paul Lovering suspended for their trip to Alloa and they also a fitness doubt over defender Eddie Forrest.
Striker Ryan Wallace is available after a ban and he has been added to manager Jimmy Boyle's pool.
Boyle has told his players that they cannot show signs of rustiness or they will pay in exactly the same way they did at Peterhead in midweek.
Boyle said: "We played for the first time in nearly a month on Tuesday and it showed as Peterhead beat us 5-1.
"Whilst I am looking forward to going to Alloa we have to be on the pace of the game from the start.
"They are a decent side who will hurt us if we are in not ready."
