Two out-of-form teams go head-to-head at Goodison Park on Saturday as Everton play host to Wigan Athletic.

Everton v Wigan preview

The Toffees are winless in six Premier League outings while third-from-bottom Wigan have only won one from six in league action.

Everton have an excellent top-flight record against the Latics having been victorious in six of their seven meetings.

However, their home form has deserted them of late after suffering rare back-to-back defeats to Arsenal and West Brom.

Wigan are not the best of travellers and have won just one of their last 15 away matches in Premier League action.

Everton news

Everton boss David Moyes could name an unchanged starting XI following their 1-1 draw against Chelsea last weekend.

Striker Jermaine Beckford will likely settle for a place on the substitutes' bench despite netting Everton's equaliser against the Blues.

Frenchman Louis Saha will continue to lead the line with Australia international Tim Cahill, who is in fine goal-scoring form, for support.

Aiyegbeni Yakubu could be drafted in by Moyes as he has a good record against Wigan having plundered three goals in five games.

Leighton Baines scored a late game-winning penalty in the corresponding fixture against his former club last season.

Wigan news

Wigan are boosted by the availability of star striker Hugo Rodallega who has now completed his three-game ban.

He was sent off in their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United and missed the defeats to West Ham and Arsenal and their 2-2 draw with Stoke.

Manager Roberto Martinez remains without James McCarthy (ankle) and forward Victor Moses (shoulder) with both sidelined until February.

On-loan striker Franco Di Santo's ankle problem is likely to keep him out for a few weeks so Rodallega will lead the line on his own.

Captain Gary Caldwell, who had surgery to rectify hip problems in the summer, has also been out since November 13 with a thigh injury.

Possible starting XIs:
Everton: Howard, Neville, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Coleman, Rodwell, Fellaini, Pienaar, Cahill, Saha.

Wigan: Al Habsi, Boyce, Gohouri, Alcaraz, Figueroa, Diame, Thomas, N'Zogbia, Watson, Cleverley, Rodallega.
