McDonald makes amends to secure point

Kevin McDonald made amends for an earlier penalty miss by scoring a last-gasp spot-kick to earn Alloa a point in a 2-2 draw against Peterhead.
The visitors started well, Nicky Clark drilling in a right-footed effort which Jamie Ewings in the Alloa goal watched sail wide to his left.
Alloa conceded a penalty when Willie Gibson brought Clark down in the area and Ryan Strachan stepped up to make it 1-0.
But Stuart Noble got on the end of John Grant`s cross to level.
Peterhead hit back strongly, and Callum McDonald`s cross was met by Clark, who headed home just before the break.
Alloa could have equalised when Bryan Prunty was fouled by Peterhead keeper John Bateman, but McDonald`s penalty was tipped around the post.
Peterhead went on to dominate, and Clark was unlucky to miss in the 84th minute.
But the hosts benefited from some last-minute drama when David Ross fouled Noble in the box. McDonald made amends by slotting his penalty past Bateman to make it 2-2.
