Euro 2012 Qualifier: Croatia 3-0 Malta

Croatia defeated Malta 3-0 in Group F of the Euro 2012 qualifiers and leapfrogged Greece to the top of the table.
Niko Kranjcar grabbed a double and Nikola Kalinic put the ribbon on a easy victory to pick up their first home win in the qualifiers against the whipping boys of Group F.
Mladen Petric looked dangerous and showed some nice touches but it was Kranjcar who was lethal in front of goal for his national team once again. The second of his first-half double, right before half-time, took a deflection and almost ripped the net.
Kalinic had a golden chance with just over ten minutes left to get himself on the score sheet but blazed his shot over when clean on goal. However, three minutes later he made no mistake.
Croatia could and perhaps should have added to their tally but in the end will settle for three points.
Malta remain pointless at the bottom of the group with only one goal to their name so far.
