Off day for McAllister
Posted Saturday, November 13, 2010 by PA
Top scorer Rory McAllister could not find a way through as Brechin were held to a frustrating goalless stalemate by Forfar at Glebe Park.
He had enough chances to win the game for the home side, with a great save from Scott Gallacher on the half-hour mark to tip his free-kick over the bar denying him.
McAllister, returning from a two-match suspension, also hit a post after 18 minutes with a shot from close range.
Forfar could have snatched victory in the closing stages when Mark McCulloch clipped the bar with an effort that may well have been intended as a cross.
Brechin are now three points behind leaders Livingston.
