Barcelona Coach Pep Guardiola Heaps Praise On Thiago

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has praised youngster Thiago for his performance in the Catalan outfit's 5-1 win against Ceuta in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday evening.

“He can still grow so much more,” said Guardiola, according to Barca’s official website. “I want to congratulate him for the way he played. He is a daring player and has the capability of unbalancing any opposition with his great natural talent.

“He is young, quick and confident. He has no fear and I knew him in La Tercera and he did the same things. He lacks a couple of things to be the finished article and I have no doubt that he will go on to be just that.”

Thiago was also happy with his performance in the second leg win at Camp Nou and said, “I was only missing a goal. I had two great chances but I hope that I will be able to go closer and closer to the goal as time goes on.

“One has to be self-critical or you cannot grow."
