Brechin moved to the top of the Second Division on goal difference with a 3-1 win at home to Airdrie.
Neil Janczyk gave City the lead after 20 minutes with a stunning 25-yard effort into the top left-hand corner.
However, the lead was shortlived as Airdrie replied just six minutes later, Anthony Watt finding the bottom corner with a well-struck shot.
Brechin retook the lead 10 minutes after the restart with another spectacular goal, Rory McAllister this time producing a strike from distance that found Mark Ridgers' top corner.
Airdrie were then awarded a penalty with just eight minutes remaining. Paul Lovering stepped up to hit a tame spot-kick to the bottom right which Brechin goalkeeper Craig Nelson managed to hold onto.
Craig Molloy made sure of the three points with a third for City deep into added time, slotting home a pass from Gary Fusco.
