Four for Forfar
Posted Saturday, October 16, 2010 by PA
Forfar could afford to miss two late penalties and still run out comfortable 4-1 winners over nine-man Ayr at Station Park.
Ross Campbell opened the scoring for Forfar from the spot in the 12th minute after Dean Keenan fouled Bryan Deasley, and Chris Templeman doubled the advantage on the hour from Deasley's cross.
Ayr then had Ross Robertson and Dean Keenan dismissed for second bookings before Campbell and Scott Allan had two penalties saved in a minute by Ayr keeper David Crawford.
Martyn Fotheringham made it 3-0 with the fourth penalty of the game in the 81st minute after Campbell was brought down.
Will Easton thumped in a consolation goal for Ayr and before Graham Gibson headed the fourth in injury time.
