Brazil coach Mano Menezes says he is pleased with his side's defensive aspects.

Brazil boss Mano Menezes says he is pleased with the team's performance against Ukraine in an international friendly, defeating the Euro 2012 co-hosts 2-0 in England.

Menezes is especially pleased with the defensive aspects of the Selecao, not conceding a goal in their last three matches.

"We need to value our victories having scored seven goals and none conceded [in those three last matches]," Menezes said in a post-match press conference to Goal.com Brazil. "The team could impose our style of game and that was the attitude that we wanted to see."

"Brazilian football always impressed by goals, by qualified strikers. In the past few years, the defensive portion also has showed strength.

"The legacy left by Lucio and Juan is very important, today we have the obligation to make well also in the back."

Menezes also spoke about playing fierce South American rivals Argentina in Qatar in November. He believes Brazil will face their toughest challenge, as his side are going through a transitional phase, whilst La Albiceleste will be fielding almost the same line-up from the World Cup.

"Argentina is on another level, different to Brazil, at this moment. They are with the same World Cup's squad and we are still testing," he added. "So, they take advantage on this point.

"But it is going to be an equal match. It's good to have a tougher match after these games," Menezes concluded.
