DAVID BECKHAM’S England exile starts tomorrow when Fabio Capello names his squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro.
The England manager will confirm that he is building for a future without Beckham by omitting him for the Wembley date a week on Tuesday.
And there will be no recall, either, for Manchester United’s Michael Owen, 30, despite injuries to strikers Wayne Rooney, Jermain Defoe and Bobby Zamora.
Beckham, 35, is back playing for LA Galaxy after a bad Achilles injury.
Capello said: “I am really happy he is fit – but in contention at this moment? No.”
And on Owen he said: “No, he is not someone I am considering bringing back. He has played for just about 15 minutes in the Premier League and the Carling Cup.”
On the striker situation, Capello said: “We have Darren Bent, Peter Crouch and Ashley Young. Stewart Downing’s also coming back.”
Capello will let Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere play for the Under-21s before linking up with the senior squad – and insists World Cup clanger keeper Robert Green remains in his top four stoppers.
