ATHENS, Greece (AP)—Olympiakos beat visiting Volos 3-1 and remained top of the Greek league on Saturday.
Kevin Mirallas scored in each half and Vassilis Torosidis added another for the league leader, while Javier Umbides scored for newcomer Volos.
Olympiakos has 12 points from 5 games, four points more than archrival Panathinaikos, which plays at Ergotelis on Sunday.
Also, Asteras drew 1-1 with Atromitos, and Kavala beat Panionios 2-1.
Olympiakos started strongly, pouncing on Volos goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic’s fumble in front of his goal. Torosidis was first to the loose ball and scored after only seven minutes.
In the 21st, a low drive by David Fuster deflected off Mirallas’ leg in the Volos area to make it 2-0.
Mario Breska, who replaced Facundo Castro in the 28th, almost scored for Volos in the 36th when a lob from the edge of the box forced Antonis Nikopolidis to palm the ball over his bar.
Umbides halved the deficit from a cross by Costas Kapetanos in the 71st, and 10 minutes later Olympiakos’ Albert Riera sent the ball high over the bar from the penalty spot.
Mirallas ensured the win with a goal in injury time off a pass from Yiannis Fetfatzidis.
On Sunday it’s: Kerkyra vs. Iraklis; AEK vs. Xanthi; Panserraikos vs. Larissa; and PAOK vs. Aris.
