Midfielder Josh Low could return for Cheltenham after sitting out their last two games with a calf injury.
Martin Riley (hamstring) and Frankie Artus (cracked shin) are still missing but Robins manager Mark Yates has no fresh injury worries.
Oxford striker James Constable is suspended and could be replaced in the starting XI by Jack Midson.
Jake Wright is still out, meaning Mark Creighton and Harry Worley should continue in defence.
Cheltenham Town boss Mark Yates told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"I'm delighted that we've got a chance to put it right against a very good Oxford team, well set up by Chris Wilder. They've got some good players.
"Don't get me wrong it's not going to be an easy game, but we've got to do something about Saturday's performance and put it right.
"There's no crisis here, but we need to address a poor performance."
