Brian Fairbairn's superb free-kick helped Cowdenbeath move up to fourth with a 2-1 win over Dundee.
Mark Ramsay opened the scoring for Cowdenbeath on 11 minutes when his left-footed shot beat the keeper from 20 yards.
Dundee nearly equalised when Leigh Griffiths' free-kick came back off the post and two minutes before the interval Fairbairn went one better when his 25-yard set-piece rustled into the bottom corner to double Cowdenbeath's lead.
Dundee threatened to get back into the game after the break as Colin McMenamin tested David Hay twice before Griffiths scored nine minutes from time.
He could then have earned Dundee their first away point of the season but his left-footed shot cannoned off the crossbar to safety.
